Mountain Biking Rossland, the "Mountain Bike Capital of Canada", boasts some of the best single track rides on the planet. Check out the Kootenay Columbia Trails Society for local trails.

Fishing Fishing in the South Kootenays is second to none – check out the Columbia River, Nancy Greene Lake, or one of the other area lakes (Christina Lake, Slocan Lake, Kootenay Lake).
