Summer of Golf

So, I decided to take up golf this summer after a 6 year hiatus. To be honest, I was never a golfer, I just went out to have fun with friends and whack the ball around the course. Living in Rossland now, and being only minutes from the fabulous Redstone Resort Golf Course has changed all that! Golf is now a sport in which I can get some exercise (have you ever walked the course here?) since it is built on the side of a mountain. Winding your way along the fairways, trying to avoid the water and sand traps (which I call “a trip to the beach”) is certainly challenging, and never boring. Redstone is not only fun to golf because of the challenging course, but mainly for the stunning views all around you. My golf partners and I are forever commenting on what a lovely place it is to play. Now, if only we could golf well…but Loretta Bulfone has been helping us with that part of things. She is a stellar coach and her tips have helped, I would like to say we are incredible golfers now, but even she can’t perform miracles. However, we are getting much better with every outing…and it’s so much fun! Redstone does of course have a drink cart, which makes those games on hot days much more pleasant…and playing there in the evening there always seems to be a wonderful, steady breeze to keep the mosquitos away. It’s pretty amazing to have such a fantastic course so close to such a fantastic ski resort (Red Mountain) and with the quaint town of Rossland right in bewteen the two…those of us who live here in Rossland are very lucky!! Check out the pics of our latest venture to Redstone…
