Summer has come to Rossland!

The dog days of summer are upon us once again, but fortunately the drink cart is back on the golf course at Redstone to save the day! June 17th was a great evening for ladies who golf as I hosted the weekly ladies night event at Redstone Golf course. Almost 60 women turned out to play and win some fabulous prizes! My foursome even had a pretty good outing, but I won’t tell you the scores…it was good for us!

Around town in Rossland, many people ventured out to celebrate Canada Day this week with outdoor events, music, and fireworks. A huge group of locals got together for the annual hike up Mt. Roberts which reportedly was loads of fun. One friend even managed to play nine holes of golf afterwards!

Things are getting busy around town with lots of people hitting the Kootenays for the summer holidays and that often includes a stop in Rossland to enjoy the amazing trails, fantastic restaurants, a hike around Red Mountain, and some world class mountain biking. And if you are in the area don’t miss the tour of the Museum and Mines, it is not to be missed. I found a picture of my own house taken in 1906 when I visited the museum last summer! The Rossland tennis club was also fortunate to obtain funds to resurface the 3 tennis courts located just a few blocks from downtown and I am excited to get out there as soon as the paint is dry (it is Wimbledon season and that always makes me want to get out and play!). It is always good to finish off the day with a glass of wine at the Old Fire Hall, Jazz and WIne Bar, where you can often enjoy live music.

So, if you are in the neighbourhood drop by our Century 21 office at Red Mountain to see some fantastic real estate and find out for yourself why this is such a great place to live!
